Brick Acid Washing in Helsby

Quick Point provide specialist brick acid washing throughout Helsby and the wider Cheshire area. Every job is carried out by experienced hands, fully insured and backed by our workmanship guarantee.
New-build and extension brickwork is often left with mortar smears, snots and a haze that dulls the finish. The correct acid wash removes them and brings out the true colour of the brick.
Acid cleaning must be done carefully - bricks wetted first, the right dilution applied, then fully rinsed and neutralised. Done wrong it causes burning and staining; done right it’s transformative.
Most of our acid-washing work is on new builds, extensions and freshly laid brickwork, but it is equally effective at lifting lime bloom and staining from established walls.
What's included
Why method matters with acid
Acid cleaning gets a bad name purely because it is so often done badly. Applied to a dry wall, at the wrong strength, or left without rinsing, it burns the brick and leaves permanent staining that is worse than the marks it was meant to remove.
Done correctly it is safe and highly effective. We saturate the wall first so the acid cannot soak into the brick, use the correct dilution for the brick type, work in manageable sections, then rinse thoroughly and neutralise. The result is clean, even brickwork with its true colour restored.
